Editors' Note........Martha Beatriz Roque Update

I decided to call Martha Beatriz this afternoon after trying all morning. I finally was able to reach her. The call was clear and without interruption. I told her we are with her in this struggle, that we are all aware the next 48 hours are going to be critical, and that I was hoping violence will not take place this time around.
She sounded very relax but cautious at the same time. She is now in the waiting stage for the government to answer a petition she filed through her lawyer. She is asking the governmet to stop the violence against her and removal of restrictions such as leaving her house , receiving visitors and packages, etc..
She also mentioned to pay close attention to the situation of the ailing mother of cuban dissident Hilda Molina, who suffered a fall recently. She needs urgent medical care which she is not getting. The Argentinian Government has offered to take her to Argentina but so far the Cuban government has remain silent in this case.
Martha we are with you. Keep your head high. The World is watching...... Will continue
